Remember, IAYPIC was set up for you! No one knows better about the concerns and issues of young people in care than a person who has been in care themselves.Any child or young person who is in care or aftercare can join us today.

What you have to say is important to us and everything you say could help to make changes for you and other young people’s care in the future!

Become a member

As a child or young person in care the good news is you are already a member of IAYPIC but if you’d like to get our newsletter or any other information about things that are going on in your area please complete our simple membership form or give us a call and we'll pop it in the post. Or you can email us for more information at info@iaypic.ie

Contribute to our newsletter

By this stage you should have all received a copy of our newsletter in the post but if you haven’t you can check it out here. You can send us in any letters, poems etc. that you’d like to be included in the newsletter.

Join one of our groups

IAYPIC wants to start up some groups where young people in care get the chance to meet other young people in care. These groups could be for talking about what it's like being in care or they could just be about meeting up to do something fun, like go the cinema or to an adventure centre or something like that. If you would like to join one of these groups give us a call on 01 8727661 or send us a letter, text or email.

Join in one of our Consultations

Talk one of our Children’s Rights and Participation Officers. Let us know about your experiences so that we can let other professionals know if changes need to be made.

Young people can phone the main number on 01-8727661 or they can text a message to 087-9036598 and someone will ring them back. Anytime a young person contacts IAYPIC, we will always ring back, so that young people don’t have to use their own credit.
